Police bust sex racket

Rajahmundry, Jan 11 (UNI) Police has bust a sex racket with the arrest of two woman belonging to Chilakaluripet in Guntur district.

According to police one Chintakumari who was in dire straits was taken by an auto driver to Chilakaluripet promising her a job.

But he sold her to brothel. Somehow, she escaped and informed the police who raided the brothel and rescued another woman after arresting Pedda Lakshmi and Annapureddi Bujji.

Three others involved in the racket are absconding.

The rescued girl, Buji, said she was sold to a woman at Gudivada for Rs 20,000 and changed hands to three to four times before ending up in the brothel.

Police registered cases under various sections including Immoral Trafficking Act and wrongful confinement.
