PayPal to open development centre in TN capital

Chennai, Jan 11: Leading global online company PayPal today announced it was opening a new development centre here.

According to a press release here, it also planned to hire people in large numbers for technical positions in 2007.

PayPal Vice President and Global Product Development General Manager Raj Sundaresan said the development centre would have openings for technical professionals with expertise in product development, software engineering and other IT functions.

"The vast knowledge and expertise of Indian technical professionals will help PayPal expand its business while continuing to provide secure online payment services for millions of internet customers," he said
