Patna, Jan 11 (UNI) General secretary of Nationalist Congress Party(NCP) Tariq Anwar today claimed that law and order situation did not improve during the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) regime, while basic issues of public concern continued to remain 'unaddressed' as they were during the Lalu-Rabri rule.

Addressing a meeting of state executive committee of the party, Mr Anwar said the roads of Bihar were in poor condition and supply of electricity was erratic.

He said that Nitish Kumar government had not made attempts to take remedial measures to cope with artificial scarcity of fertliliser due to rampant corruptions and mismanagement in distribution system.

''The NDA government is playing with the future of unemployed youths by misleading them on the pretext of large scale recruitment of teachers. Around fifty percent of the selected candidates refused to join as teachers after the realities behind it came to the fore,'' he added.

He called upon the party workers to inform the people at grass roote level on the failures of NDA government in taking steps to solve the problems faced by the masses.
