Metal prices hike due to higher advice

Mumbai, Jan 11 (UNI) Metal prices hiked due to higher advice, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said.

In the ferrous category, copper heavy, copper utencils hiked by Rs 400 and, Rs 200 per quintal respectively on good demand.

In the non-ferrous segment, Zinc slab was declined by Rs 100 per quintal on sluggish demand while Lead ingot went up by Rs 50 per quintal on lesser stock supply.

Nickel cathode went up by Rs 70 per kg on better buying support.

Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: copper heavy - Rs 30,300, copper utensils - Rs 28,700, brass utensils - Rs 22,300, brass cuttings - Rs 24,500 and aluminium utensils - Rs 11,100.

Non-ferrous metals: copper wire bars - Rs 33,500, aluminium ingots - Rs 14,400, zinc slab - Rs 20,900, lead ingots - Rs 7,200 tin slab - Rs 590 (per kg) and nickel cathode - Rs 1,740 (per kg).
