J'khand to implement SC's recommendation on police reforms:CM
Dumka, Jan 11 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda today said the state government has in principle accepted the Supreme Court's direction on separating the investigation and law and order wings of police.
Talking to reporters here, Mr Koda said various points mentioned in the SC's directive was being discussed and the government would soon come out with a law in state's police act.
Mr Koda said separate wings--investigation and law and order maintainence--would be formed in Jharkhand.
Referring to the recent steps taken by the state government for the development of Santhal Pargana areas, Mr Koda said three MoUs had been signed for establishing mini-steel plant in Raneshwar, Kumrabad and Palashsthali in Dumka and Jamtara districts.
The Chief Minister, along with Deputy Chief Minister Stephen Marandi, was in Dumka on a trip to inspect Dumka Central jail.
