Infosys to enter new verticals through acquisitions
Bangalore, Jan 10 (UNI) IT giant Infosys Technologies Limited will enter new verticals through acquisitions to bring more value proposition to its operations, company CEO and Managing Director Nandan M Nilekani said today.
Announcing the company's third quarter results at a press conference here, he said that similar to the hub of IT activities Bangalore-Chennai-Hyderabad in the South, Jaipur-Delhi-Noida in the Noth had become a hot spot for IT operations. Acknowledging the growth, Infosys was expanding its base in the Northern triangle, with Jaipur as the main centre.
Terming Infosys finding a place in the NASDAQ-100 index at the NASDAQ stock market as ''most prestigious'', he said it enhanced the company's brand equity globally and benefited both cleints and investors. Infosys was the first Indian company to be added to the NASDAQ-100 index and to be part of any of the major global indices.
