Infosys aware of threat perception: CEO
Bangalore, Jan 11 (UNI) Infosys Technologies Limited is aware of the threat perception to the IT major from terrorist outfits and has taken necessary steps to deal with the situation, company Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Nandan M Nilekani said today.
Speaking to newspersons after announcing the company's impressive results here, he, however, refused to dilvulge details about the precautionary measures undertaken and the quantum of investment on the security front.
Acknowledging the terrorist threat looming large over the IT bellwether, Mr Nilekani said investigation of ultras arrested in the recent past had revealed that they had not brought any one place under their radar, but have targetted many places of strategic importance, including Infosys.
It may be recalled here that the the City Crime Branch police have arrested a suspected Pakistan-trained militant from Kashmir with a huge cache of arms and ammunition, who had confessed to spying on the security arrangements at Infosys, Wipro and the Bangalore airport.
