Hospital caught for baby selling

Guwahati, Jan 11 (UNI) A private hospital has been caught for trying to sell a new born baby when the mother failed to pay the medical expenses of Rs 3000.

The police have arrested three persons when the woman filed an FIR. The pregnant woman had come from Dhemaji in search of her missing husband when she felt uneasy. She was immediately admitted to the nearest hospital by bystanders.

Based on an FIR filed by her yesterday, police raided the Guwahati Maternity Home in Ulubari and rounded up six staff members for interrogation.

Police said the baby was dumped before a children's home and police tipped off about the infant. Police later reunited the baby with the mother through the CJM's court.
