GV films to launch programme for web casting division

Chennai, Jan 11 (UNI) GV Films Limited has announced the company proposed to launch a programme for the web casting division on January 19, 2007 at Chennai followed by further launch programmes in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Bombay, Trivandrum and Singapore.

According to a press release here today, the web casting division was expected to commercially exploit the huge library of about 6000 films for which the company was holding internet rights.

The target audience for this will mainly be the 20 million Indian diaspora spread world over.

Test runs have also been successfully completed for the Indian Market. The present proposal of 2 MBPs connectivity of internet being made available by the telecom Companies to the Indian markets will open up further windows to this division.

The Tamil movie channel in Singapore (Tamil Box Office) with which the company has entered into an joint venture agreement holding the majority share capital will be on air on the January 26 giving 24 X 7 Tamil movies to the audience in the island nation.
