Former BSP MP joins SP

Lucknow, Jan 11 (UNI) Former BSP MP Ghanshyam Chandra Kharwar today joined the ruling Samajwadi party along with his supporters.

Welcoming the BSP leader, who was the BSP general secretary for the last nine years, SP general secretary and state PWD Minister Shivpal Singh Yadav said the joining would certainly strengthen the party.

Mr Kharwar, a Dalit, has represented both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha for the BSP and wields political influence in Ambedkar Nagar district.

Mr Yadav claimed there is mass exodus of leaders from the BSP and in turn the SP was strengthening every day.
