Cold waves prevail in Haryana, Punjab, J

Pune, Jan 11 (UNI) Cold wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Harayana, Punjab, Jammu and kashmir and north Rajasthan.

Night tempratures were below normal in some parts of Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, south Madhya Maharashtra and of interior Karnataka and in remaining parts of Haryana.

They were appreciably above normal in Assam, Meghalaya and in some parts of south Gujarat Region, coastal Karnataka and were above normal in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Tamil Nadu.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala.
