Christopher takes over as Director of Centre for Airborne Systems
Bangalore, Jan 11 (UNI) Dr S Christopher has taken over as Director of the Centre for Airborne Systems, DRDO Labs, with effect from January 1.
He would also be the Programme Director of the Airborne Early Warning and Control System Programme.
Joining the DRDO in 1988, he had contributed immensely to the development of Light Combat Aircraft, MMR, ALH Radar and established a unique facility for Automated Near Field Measurement (ANFM). As project director, he had brought out the first maritime patrol radar called Supervison 2000, a DRDO release here today said.
Dr Christopher was the recipient of JC Bose gold medal, Scientist of the year award and Technological Awards of DRDO.
