Bhopal, Jan 11 (UNI) Special camps will be organised across Madhya Pradesh to correct the BPL list in view of complaints of irregularities in the existing list.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan issued directions in this regard while reviewing the progress in deleting the names of ineligible persons, who, he said, deprives the genuine needy of the benefits.

''Help of local people's representatives should be enlisted in identifying the genuine BPL families and their inclusion in the list'', Mr Chouhan said.

On the directive of the Supreme Court, the process of amending the BPL list will continue. So far, 9.25 lakh applications have been received for deletion of ineligible persons and inclusion of eligible persons. Of this, 6 lakh cases have been disposed of and names of 4.06 lakh people added, Rural Development Principal Secretary Pradeep Bhargava said.
