Body of Indian sailor recovered

Dubai, Jan 11: The body of a second Indian sailor from a cargo vessel that sank while sailing to Iraq has been recovered.

The deceased has been identified as Mohan Roji, 50. Of the at least a dozen Indians on board the woodden cargo vessel-- MSV Shri Krishna Sagar, two people survived while two bodies have been found until now. The vessel sank on December 27.

Sagar's friends living in Bahrain identified him yesterday at a hospital morgue, and the body would be sent this week to Valsad, in Gujarat, reports said.

Prakash Pratap, one of his friends who identified the body, said the deceased was survived by his wife and two children.

The first body, identified as that of Dalsukh Vithal, was found the very next day the vessel sank and handed over to the Indian Embassy at Bahrain.
