New Delhi, Jan 11 (UNI) A delegation of BJP MPs led by state party President Radha Mohan Singh today called on Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil, demanding adequate security for the migrant community in Asom, particularly from Bihar.

The delegation consisting of available MPs from the state, including Mr Ravi Shankar Prasad, Mr Shanawaz Hussain and Mr Uday Singh, demanded stringent action against ULFA militants who had attacked the migrants.

The Army should be asked to maintain law and order in the state as the local police seemed to have indirectly supported the militants asking the Hindi speaking people to leave the state. The delegation also provided newspaper cuttings to substantiate their claim.

The leaders have demanded Rs 10 lakh for the families for victims and Rs 200,000 for those injured in the attacks unleashed by the ULFA outfits.
