AICC disciplinary panel for TNCC

Chennai, Jan 11 (UNI) The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has constituted a nine-member disciplinary panel for Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) to inquire and recommend disciplinary action against those involved anti-party activtities.

AICC General Secretary Janardan Dwivedi in his communication to the TNCC President M Krishnaswamy, a copy of which was made available to press here today, said AICC President Sonia Gandhi approved the panel.

Senior Congress Leader and Former MLA K Paramalai is the Chairman of the disciplinary panel while Former Lok Sabha MPs Era Anbarasu, Soundaram, Former MLA S G Vinayagamoorthy, INTUC State President N Nannjappan, Senior Counsel Masilamani, A Pitchai, N Maqbool John and A P C V Shanmugam were the other members.

At its first meeting held here today, the panel thanked Ms Gandhi for constituting the panel for maintaining discipline in the party.

Mr Paramalai and Mr Anbarasu told newspersons that it was decided to convene the panel meeting at least once in a month.

The panel would take suitable action against those who indulged in indiscipline and anti-party activities, they said.
