Venkaiah pats Chouhan

Bhopal, Jan 10 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu today praised Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, saying the party's central leadership was satisfied with the regime's performance.

''The party leadership is reviewing the government's performance from time to time and the central leaders are happy with the performance of Mr Chouhan as Chief Minister,'' Mr Naidu told reporters here.

''We are happy. The government's performance is good,'' he said.

Parrying a question on whether former chief minister Uma Bharti would be taken back into the BJP, Mr Naidu quipped that he would restrict his comments to only those who are in the party.

Ms Bharti floated the Bharatiya Jan Shakti following her expulsion from the BJP.

UNI
