Vaidyaratnam to open specialised centre to treat techies
Bangalore, Jan 10 (UNI) The Kerala-based Vaidyaratnam, an Ayurvedic firm, will open a specialised centre in the city on January 14 for addressing the problems of IT professionals afflicted with lifestyle diseases.
Company Deputy General Manager T Unnikrishnan told reporters here today that it had decided to set up the centre as several techies came to the company seeking remedies for a slew of ailments, which could be described as lifestyle diseases.
Most common diseases of IT professionals included computer vision syndrome, cervical spondylitis, lumbago, insomnia, gastric problems and carpel tunnel syndrome, he said.
The company proposed to open such a centre in New Delhi also.
