Tripura announces 5 per cent DA for employees

Agartala, Jan 10 (UNI) Tripura has announced another five per cent Dearness Allowance (DA) for its employees in a Cabinet meeting, an official release here today said.

As per the decision taken yesterday, the employees would be getting the amount in cash from this month onwards.

The government would now spend a total of Rs 53 crore annually. The last DA at a rate of five per cent was sanctioned to the employees during July last year, the release said.

With this, the gap between the Central and the state government employees is only 10 per cent. This facility would be given to the pensioners and other state government undertakings and Autonomous bodies.
