Srinagar, Jan 10 (UNI) Three more Haj pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir have died in Saudi Arabia during the past few days, taking the toll to eight so far, reports received here said today.

Sixty-four-year-old Mohammad Maqbool Parray, a resident of Shuhama Alasteing on the city outskirts, died of cardiac arrest in Saudi Arabia yesterday.

The reports said Sonaullah Mir, 74, (Passport Number 42396 and Cover Number JK-409-3) also died of heart attack on January one while 70-year-old Sara Begum, wife of Mohammad Shaban Shah (Passport Number 112798 and Cover Number JK-2790-2), was killed in a road accident on December 23 last year.

Earlier 71-year-old Abdul Gaffar Khanday (Passport Number 45732 and Cover Number JK-1608-2) had died of cardio respiratory arrest due to hypoglycaemic coma at Mecca on December 14 last year.

Before that, 59-year-old Abdul Aziz Bhat (Passport Number 46648 and Cover Number JK-2000-2) had died of multi organ failure due to acute renal failure at Mecca on December 10.

Also on the same day, 65-year-old Ali Mohammad Dar (Passport Number 105576 and Cover Number JK-2492-1) died of heart attack at Mecca. Seventy-nine-year-old Ahadullah Sheikh (Passport Number 41012 and Cover Number JK-33-4) was killed in a road accident at Mecca on December 9.

The deceased Haj pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir also included Ghulam Qadir Bhat, the brother of Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad.

Sixty-four-year-old Bhat (Passport Number 41012 and Cover Number JK-33-4) had died of cardiac arrest at Mecca on December 21.
