Speaker constitutes committee for plots for legislators

Jammu, Jan 10 (UNI) Speaker Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Mr Tara Chand constituted a three-member Sub-Committee, which will identify land for residential plots for sitting legislators at Jammu and Srinagar.

Chief Secretary and Commissioner/Secretary Law would coordinate with the Committee. This was decided at a meeting of the House Committee held here today under the Chairmanship of Speaker.

The meeting held detailed discussion on the issues related to allotment of plots to legislators, who don't have their own houses in the state.

The Committee observed that the members should be allotted residential plots at suitable places in Jammu and Srinagar cities.
