Sony appoints new president for its China ops
SHANGHAI, Jan 10 (Reuters) Sony Corp, the world's second-largest consumer electronics maker, appointed Haruyasu Nagata as president of its China unit, a company spokesman said on Wednesday.
Nagata, who takes on the role of President of Sony (China) Ltd.
as of this month, will also serve as chairman and president of Sony Marketing of China, Shinji Obana told Reuters by phone.
Nagata replaces Seiichi Kawasaki, who has spent more than eight years with Sony China and is transferring to Japan.
Nagata previously served as deputy president of Sony Europe. The moves are part of a regular personnel change, Obana said.
