New Delhi, Jan 10 (UNI) In the run up to the Assembly elections in Uttarakhand, the BJP will finalise its nominees for the state in the next couple of days.
BJP Spokesman Ravishankar Prasad, who is incharge of Uttarakhand polls, said the Central Election Committee of the party would approve the party nominees after considering the recommendations of the state unit after January 14 the Sankranti, the Indian new year.
Mr Prasad, however, evaded questions if the Central Election Committee would be constituted by January 14 but indicated that the existing committee itself could perform the task.
He said he continued to function as 'Spokesman' of the party although technically, the announcement has to be made by the party President after his election was ratified in last month's National Council meeting at Lucknow.
