Reliance adds 1.4 mln subscribers in Dec'06
New Delhi, Jan 10: Reliance Communications today said it has added 1.4 million subscribers on its wireless network during December 2006.
With an average monthly subscriber additions growing by 21 per cent during October-December 2006, the company added over four million wireless customers taking the total wireless subscriber base close to 30 million mark.
''We are confident of maintaining the growth momentum in the coming days in line with the experience over the last six months,'' company President (Personal Business) S P Shukla said.
The huge demand for telecom services underlying in the Indian market coupled with the superior value offerings have ensured that a large proportion of new subscribers prefer Reliance Communications services, he added.
Reliance Communications corporate clientele includes 600 Indian, 250 multinational corporations and over 200 global carriers.
The service provider owns and operates world's largest next generation IP enabled connectivity infrastructure, comprising over 1,50,000 km of fibre optic cable systems in India, the US, Europe, West Asia and the Asia Pacific region.
