Pam Labs sets up ayurvedic manufacturing unit in Aluva

Kochi, Jan 10 (UNI) Pam Labs India Health Care, a venture of Parathuvayalil Group, has started a six-crore state-of-the-art ayurvedic products manufacturing plant in Aluva near here.

Announcing this here today, Chairman and Managing Director of Pam Labs Dr Pathrose Poulose said the plant would manufacture around 450 different categories of ayurvedic products which would include 35 to 40 specialities like anti-diabetic, anti-haemorodal preparations, enzyme appetite stimulants and skin diseases.

He said the company was also planning to introduce products in over the counter (OTC) sector catering to vitality drugs, soaps, cosmetic ranges and pain balms.

The company with a sales target of Rs 1.5 crore by March aims to touch Rs 100 crore by 2015, Dr Poulose said.

" In the next two years we will make products available through 6,000 outlets," he added.

He said the 65-billion dollar global herbal market was growing at 15 to 20 per cent and the domestic market was worth nearly Rs 5,000 crore.
