Mulayam govt convenes spl assembly session

Lucknow, Jan 9: Mulayam Singh Yadav Government tonight decided tohold special session of the Uttar Pradesh assembly from January 15.

The decision was taken in an emergency cabinet meeting tonightfollowing the resignation of Rastriya Lok Dal (RLD) minister earlier inthe day. The assmebly session which concluded in December last has beenreconvened following the recent political development.

Sources said during the special session the government is likelyto take a confidence vote after the RLD decided to snap ties with theruling coalition.
