Man shot dead, miscreants stab BRTF man

Imphal, Jan 10 (UNI) Manipur Police today recovered a body near a paddy field at Thoubal near here.

The deceased, identified as Thockchom Somen (27), had sustained bullet injuries, police said.

Police further said the reason for the killing has not been ascertained and the enquiry was on.

Meanwhile, a Border Road Task Force (BRTF) employee was stabbed by some unidentified miscreants here today.

He was in a critical condition and rushed to a nearby hospital, police said.

The investigation was on and the reason of the attack could be ascertained only after the victim gains consiousness, police said.
