Kite-flying banned on city roads at Surat

Surat, Jan 10: In view of the increasing cases of accidents during'Makar Sankranti' on January 14, flying kites, flags or running withobjects like bamboo poles on the city roads, has been banned from todayonwards till January 16.

Surat Police Commissioner Mr R M S Brar has issued a notificationto this effect, which also stipulates a fine against those who violatethis order, police said.
