Kazakh Parliament approves Karim Masimov as PM

Astana, Jan 10: Kazakhstan's parliament today approved the appointment of Deputy Prime Minister Karim Masimov to the post of Prime Minister.

Both houses of parliament, sitting in a special joint session, voted unanimously to approve technocrat Masimov, who was nominated for the job by President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
