iGate Q3 net up 1126.4 pc at Rs 15.95 crore
Bangalore, Jan 10 (UNI) iGate Global Solutions Ltd, the integrated Technology and Operations company, today announced a growth of 1126.4 per cent in net profit at Rs 15.95 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006, as compared to a modest Rs 1.3 crore during the same quarter the previous year.
Addressing mediapersons here, company CEO Phaneesh Murthy said the revenue for the third quarter rose by 27.6 per cent to Rs 210.73 crore as against Rs 165.15 crore during the corresponding period last year. The earning per share grew to Rs 5.09 from just Rs 0.44 earned during the same quarter previous year.
''We are moving ahead to achieve the goal of 15 per cent operating margin by the quarter ending March 2007. Despite the Rupee hardening against the Dollar, our operating margin was not affected due to good hedging,'' he said.
Mr Murthy said the company added five new clients, including two Fortune 1000 companies. GE remained the biggest client, accounting for a revenue of 26 per cent.
