IAY units to have lavatory facilities in Bihar

Patna, Jan 10 (UNI) Bihar government today announced to provide lavatory facilities in the units to be constructed under Indira Awas Yojana (IAY) under its 'Clean Bihar, Healthy Bihar' mission.

After flagging off the cleanliness awarness drive Chief Minister Nitish Kumar here said lavatories would be constucted in all the IAY units.

He said the beneficiaries would get the additional fund raised for the mission to install proper sanitation facilities in their units.

Mr Kumar also said the units would have safe drinking water facilities so as to keep the rural women healthy.

He said the common people would be sensitised regarding health and hygiene under the mission.
