Hasya Kavis entertaining Tsunami hit islanders of Andaman

Port Blair, Jan 10 (UNI) A group of renowned poets, presently holding the Hasya Kavi Sammelan as a part of the Island Tourism Festival (ITF) are making the islanders of this tsunami ravaged Andaman burst into laughter.

The event was organised by the official language department and the territory's Administration at the ITF ground.

'' We really had a blast whole evening today. Its worth coming to the Hasya Kavi Sammelan," said Tulika Paul, an audience after attending the first day of the sammelan yesterday.

'' The interest among the islanders for this annual sammelan is such that they occupied their seats much before the start of the programme," said Rana Mathew, the PRO of the Information and Publicity department.

The audience were seen stuck to their seats till the last composition was presented and on the other hand the noted poets missed no chance in entertaining them.

Poets like Santhoshanand, Aaskaran Atal, Ghanshyam Agrawal, Dr Surendra Dubey and Mamta Sharma were the stars of the evening.

Meanwhile, the second day of the ITF, witnessed visitors pouring from all corners to see the pavilions set up by various departments.
