Freedom fighter Raj Narayan passes away
Lucknow, Jan 10 (UNI) Veteran freedom fighter Raj Narayan Srivastava died in the state capital today.
He was 86.
The octogenarian had participated in India's freedom struggle and often suffered the brutality of the Britishers. He also raised his voice against social discrimination in society.
His mortal remains were consigned to flames with full state honours early today.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav has expressed grief over the demise of the freedom fighter.
