Chandigarh, Jan 10 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh today ordered a high-level probe into the discovery of four half-burnt bodies of migrant Bawaria children in the abandoned premises of a rice mill owned by Congress leader Jagmeet Brar last night in Muktsar district.

Expressing deep shock and anguish over the crime, Capt Singh has directed Inspector General of Police (Bathinda range) V K Bhawra to thoroughly investigate and promptly submit his report, sources here said.

However, Capt Singh took strong exception to the accusations made by Shiromani Akali Dal General Secretary Sukhbir Badal against Mr Brar.

It was not fair on Mr Badal's part to drag Mr Brar into this incident to settle personal score and he should desist from issuing such irresponsible statements to the media with an eye on the forthcoming assembly elections, he said.

Mr Brar had already made his position clear on this issue, Capt Singh said adding he fully endorsed the Congress leader's stand that such abandoned places were prone to be used by criminals.

The investigation would definitely result in the criminals being apprehended by the police, he added.
