CM describes NCC as a medium of social change

New Delhi, Jan 10 (UNI) Acknowledging the role of NCC in grooming illustrious ''citizens of tomorrow,'' Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today exhorted cadets to do their best in conservation of environment and resources to make India a ''country of our dreams.'' Speaking after inspecting the guard of honour on her visit to the NCC Republic Day Camp here today, she described the NCC as a medium of social change and said India's future was in safe hands.

Calling upon the cadets to become 'role models', Ms Dikshit said their services would be most required during the Commonwealth Games in 2010, being hosted in Delhi, when large number of sportspersons, sports lovers and tourists descended on the capital.
