CM appreciates social commitment of Dainik Lokmat

Aurangabad (Maharashtra), Jan 10: Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh has appreciated the social commitment of leading Marathi Daily 'Dainik Lokmat' in the state and its active participation in development of backward Marathwada region.

Addressing the concluding ceremony of Dainik Lokmat's Silver Jubilee celebrations here late last evening, the Chief Minister said the daily has been involved in solving problems of the region for last 25-years.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Praful Patel, Minister of State in the Prime Minister's office Prithviraj Chauhan, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah, senior BJP leader and former Union Minister of State for health Shatrughan Sinha, Indian Language Newspapers Association president Sunil Dang, Maharashtra Times editor Bharatkumar Raut, Indian Newspaper Society president Harmosji Kama, chief editor of Lokmat Group of Newspaper and MP Vijay Darda, consulting editor of the newspaper Rajendra Darda and several other dignitaries attended the function.
