City crime branch seize a rocket launcher

Ahmedabad, Jan 10 (UNI) City Crime Branch today seized a country made rocket launcher and arrested two youths in this connection from the Rakhial area of the city.

According to the crime branch sources, two youths - Sajidnoor Salimnoor and Mohd Aslam Mohd Iqbal Ansari were arrested for making a country made rocket-launcher in their house at 'Panditji ni chaal' in Rakhial area of the city during the post-Godhra communal riots that took place in 2002. However, the rocket launcher could not be used.

The rocket-launcher was seized from the house of the accused duo, after raiding on a specific information by the crime branch officials.

Police said that Anwar owns a car repairing garage. Police have yet to gather information about the exact role of these two persons and from where they got the rocket launcher.
