Centre review security scenario
New Delhi, Jan 10 (UNI) In view of the increased terror threat perception, the Centre today held a high level meeting to review security scenario before the Republic Day.
Home Secretary V K Duggal chaired the meeting in which Delhi Police Commissioner K K Paul, Director General of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police V K Joshi and Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force J K Dutta and senior home ministry officials participated.
The meeting is significant in view of increased threat perception of terror attacks in various parts of the country.
The airports in the four metros of the country have been put on high alert in view of the intelligence reports about terror groups planning to hijack planes in the country.
Insurgent groups like ULFA have also stepped up violence in Asom.
