CAPD official arrested for graft in Kashmir
Srinagar, Jan 10 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Vigilance Organisation today caught red handed an official of the Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) while accepting bribe.
A vigilance spokesman said Sona-ullah Dar, a resident of Pulwama and working in the office of CAPD Assistant Director, was arrested while accepting Rs 700 from Fayaz Ahmad Wani, a kerosene oil dealer.
The accused had demanded the money for releasing the quota of kerosene oil for the month of January, 2007, he added.
A case has been registered in this regard and investigations were on, the spokesman said.
