Bitta receives threat on his 'execute Afzal' campaign
New Delhi, Jan 10 (UNI) All India Anti-Terrorist Front chief M S Bitta has lodged a complaint with the police claiming he was threatened by an unidentified overseas caller of 'dire consequences' if he pursued with the 'execute Afzal' campaign against the Parliament attack convict.
An FIR to this effect has been registered at the Preet Vihar police station in East Delhi, said a senior police official.
In his complaint Bitta said he received the call from a man in Saudi Arabia, who while claiming to be Mohammad Afzal's friend threatened him with dire consequences if he did not desist from his campaign to hang convict in the Parliament attack case.
Mr Bitta said he received the call (from the number 966501082339) while he was at a function in Preet Vihar last evening at about 2030 hrs, after which he lodged a complaint with the police.
