AP Governor, CM laud ISRO Scientists

Hyderabad, Jan 10 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Governor Rameshwar Thakur and Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today congratulated the ISRO scientists for successfully launching Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C7).

In a message, the Governor said, ''it is a matter of great pride for our country that it has successfully launched four satellites in one launch vehicle. I congratulate ISRO scientists for this spectacular success.'' In another message, Dr Reddy congratulated India Space Research Organization (ISRO) Chairman G Madhavan Nair and the team of scientists for successfully launching the PSLV-C7 from Sriharikota.

He said the scientists made India proud with their excellent performance in launching for the first time a recoverable satellite called Space Capsule Recovery Experiment (SRE).

The Chief Minister hoped that the scientists will continue to put forth their unparalled efforts in strengthening the space communication network for the welfare of mankind.
