92 absentee officials suspended in Kashmir
Srinagar, Jan 10 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government has suspended 92 officials of various departments for being absent from duty, an official spokesman said today.
To ensure accountability and punctuality among the government officials, he said a special squad paid surprise visit to various offices at Chadoora, Charar-e-Sharief, Nowgam and Khan Sahib blocks in the central Kashmir district of Badgam yesterday.
During the checking, the spokesman said 92 employees were found unauthorisedly absent from the duty.
Disciplinary action under rules has been initiated against the absentee officials, he added.
