2 abducted brothers rescued, accused held

Lucknow, Jan 10 (UNI) Two abducted siblings were rescued from the clutches of a kidnapper in Rampur district late last night, police said today.

Khaleel and Vakeel -- residents of Ghaziabad, were kidnapped 20 days back under Jawahar Park police station area of the district.

Later, the accused demanded a ransom of Rs one lakh.

On December 30 last, their father Zameel Ahmed had lodged an FIR against one Vijay Malhotra.

Acting on a tip-off, a raid was conducted under Milak police station area and the abducted children were rescued.

Seeing the police, Vijay tried to abscond. However, cops managed to nab him.
