12-day Book Fair begins from Feb 28

Agartala, Jan 10 (UNI) Tripura Minister of Information, Cultural and Tourism Anil Sarkar today said that the 25th Agartala Book Fair will begin here from February 28.

Since this fair to celebrate its silver jubilee, historical days like 1857 Sepoy Mutiny, Sachin Karta Lok Sanskriti Day, Manipuri Sahitya Sanskriti Day, Bhagat Singh Birth centenery among others are part of the fair, he added.

During the 12-day fair, various awards would be presented to selected persons. Apart from that various cultural programmmes would also be arranged.

A 35-member organising committee has been formed under the Chairmanship of Mr Sarkar.
