Bangalore, Jan 9 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party Karnataka Yuva Morcha President C T Ravi, who is also an MLA, today alleged that terrorists have spread their network to all mosques and madarasas and urged the state government to maintain a constant vigil on their activities.

Addressing newspersons here, he said the recent arrest of Pakistan-trained terrorist Imran alias Bilal Ahmed Kota with a huge cache of arms and ammunition had demonstrated that the ultra network in the state was deep rooted. Karnataka, once considered a peaceful State, had now become the hotbed of terrorists, thanks to the ''inept'' handling of the issue by the police, he alleged.

Mr Ravi claimed that two years ago, the Sangh Parivar activists had brought to the notice of the state police the suspected activities of Imran, but he was left scot-free.

Alleging that the UPA Government at the centre was turning a blind eye to the subversive activities of Mulsilm fundamentalists due to its vote bank politics, he claimed that the main accused in Parliament attack case Afzal Guru was yet to be executed despite a court order only to appease the minority community.

Mr Ravi charged that ever since the UPA Government assumed power, terrorist activities, till then limited to Jammu and Kashmir and some parts of the North-East, had spread to all parts of the nation.

The UPA Government soft-pedalling the issue has emboldened the anti-national elements, resulting in a series of terrorist activities across the country.

He urged the state government to strengthen the Intelligence wing of the police.
