Rs 10 lakh donated for giving music scholarships

Dharwad, Karnataka, Jan 9 (UNI) The Bangalore-based Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mission, in association with local Avani Rasikara Ranga (ARR), has donated Rs ten lakh to the Karnataka University here for setting up an endowment in the name of saint musician D R Parvatikar for instituting five scholarships.

In a release here today, ARR Honorary Working President N P Bhat said the scholarships would be given to students who pursue studies in music in the university.
