Patna, Jan 9 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said that with the computerisation of all registration offices of the state, procedures of sale and purchase of lands and the system for maintaining the relevant records would become'easliy accessible' and 'transparent'.

Inaugurating the 'Bihar computerised registration scheme' here, Mr Kumar said that execution of various development and welfare schemes depended on better collection of revenues. He hoped that computerised registration offices would facilitate smooth collection of taxes which would accrue the state exchequer.

''With the enactment of 'new apartment act', work relating to registration of flats would increase manifold and the computerised system would cope with such a situation to a great extent'', Mr Kumar added.

He said the government would soon implement the new land policy which would make the process of acquisition of lands for development projects easy.
