Punj Lloyd gets ONGC contract worth Rs 1,288 crore

New Delhi, Jan 9 (UNI) Construction firm Punj Lloyd today said it has received an order worth Rs 1,288.74 crore from state-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) for the redevelopment of Heera field in Mumbai.

Under the project, the company will construct four unmanned platforms, 70 km of submarine pipeline, lay 25 km of composite cables, modify seven existing platforms and install new SBM in Mumbai High South.

The work is scheduled to be completed within 16 months, a company statement said.

''With this order, the bar has been raised for the company, as this is its single largest EPC project and a first in the offshore platform business,'' company Chairman Atul Punj said.

The project takes the order backlog for the group to Rs 15,880 crore.
