Permanent deployment of security forces needed in Asom:Marandi

Giridih, Jan 9 (UNI) Former Jharkhand Chief Minister and president of Jharkhand Vikas Morcha(Democratic) Babulal Marandi today said the 'disturbed areas' of Asom should be handed over to the army.

Talking to reporters here, Mr Marandi said, ''deploying security forces for a period would not bring any solution to the state. Permanent deployment, especially in the disturbed areas, is necessary,''.

Mr Marandi, however, said the Congess-led UPA and the Asom governments were responsible for the recent blood-bath in which Hindi-speaking people were being targeted in Asom.
