Varanasi, Jan 9 (UNI) Quiz master-turned-Trinamool Congress leader Derek O' Brien today said there is no governance in Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee-ruled West Bengal.

''A state, where farmers are killed and their land captured in the name of development can best be termed as a place where there is no rule or governance,'' Mr O'Brien told a news conference here.

Also the national spokesperson of Mamata Banerjee led TMC, Mr O' Brien admitted he was enjoying his stint as a politician and said if the party gave him a chance he will certainly contest elections.

The well-know quiz show anchor also called upon the youth not to detest politics, but actively join politics for purging it.

''You ask students about what they aspire to become and they will say engineer, management professional and doctor, but who will clean the politics of the day. Youth need to shed their aversion for politics by actively embarking the political space of their own choice,'' Mr O'Brien added.

About Shah Rukh Khan getting into the saddle of a quiz master for KBC, Mr O'Brien said King Khan is going to give a wider spectrum to knowledge shows on television.
